Chi Sono/who is...

Adrian Setterfield), founder member of Free Street Photographer is an independent street performer and abstract expressionist artist who, as an exhibitor at Art and Craft markets in and around Europe noticed how many photographers would take pictures of the art on sale hiding behind their cameras instead of interacting with exhibitors and or purchasing art. He noticed how photographers sneak shots of private people and artworks without prior permission from their subjects. He also noticed that these photographers would then post their pictures onto social networking sites without giving credit to the artists whose works they had photographed. Furthermore, these unaccredited artworks would then be re-posted onto users desktop walls and the artists themselves would not benefit at all from this.
During one such event where Adrian was exhibiting his ceramic crafts at the Mercantia International Street Arts Festival held in Certaldo (Tuscany) 2012, he rose to the occasion and built a re/cycled box camera using the latest technology available and proceeded to mimic the numerous photographers he saw on the streets around him. The general public enjoyed the interaction and some also got the message... the result of which gave birth to Free Street Photography.
Adrian is not against any system of information technology. His performance is done solely in good spirit and used to initiate public awareness of the environment.
